The western forests are the westernmost region on Asnodil and part of the homelands of the humans.
The area is mostly forested and characterized by many small villages and pastures. Most inhabitants are humans, but a few elven settlements also exist. Far in the east, the dwarves maintain a number of trading posts which export meat to the Karantil mountain ridge and import minerals.
In the northern part of the woods, the climate is very arid and quite hot, but steady west winds from the ocean keep temperatures on a tolerable level. Sandy soil dominates, thus raising crops is difficult. The south has a more humid but still very warm climate which allows extensive farming.
