Attributes are the basic skill set of a character and determine how well he/she can cope with a certain situation. Characters in S.C.O.U.R.G.E. have eight basic attributes and numerous secondary skills that are derived from them.

Attributes Edit

Basic Attributes
Speed Speed determines how fast the character is able to cast a spell or swing a sword.
Coordination More coordinated characters are able to deflect more damage using armor.
Power The higher a character's power the more damage his/her attack will cause.
IQ A character with higher IQ is better suited to spellcasting.
Leadership Leadership determines bartering power and rallies your troops in battle.
Luck Luck affects almost all aspects of gameplay from spellcasting to unlocking doors.
Piety A pious character follows his/her deity's wishes more closely.
Lore Using lore a character is able identify items more easily and understand new concepts.


Skills Edit

Fight Group
Melee Weapon This is your combat skill for close quarters. Most basic weapons fall in this category.
Ranged Weapon This skill is used when fighting using a bow-type weapon.
Large Weapon This skill is used when fighting using over-sized weapons.
Hand to Hand Combat This skill is used when fighting with bare hands.


Defend Group
Shield Defend This skill is used when using a shield to deflect an attack.
Armor Defend This skill is used when using armor to deflect an attack.
Dodge Attack This skill lets you side-step or otherwise avoid being hit by an attacker.


Sorcery Group
Life and Death Magic This skill describes your proficiency with spells from the school of life and death.
Deceit Magic This skill describes your proficiency with spells from the school of deceit.
Confrontation Magic This skill describes your proficiency with spells from the school of confrontation.
Resist Life and Death Magic Having this skill helps you resist spells from the school of life and death.
Resist Deceit Magic Having this skill helps you resist spells from the school of deceit.
Resist Confrontation Magic Having this skill helps you resist spells from the school of confrontation.


Spirit Group
Nature Magic This skill describes your proficiency with spells from the school of nature.
Awareness Magic This skill describes your proficiency with spells from the school of awareness.
Resist Nature Magic Having this skill helps you resist spells from the school of nature.
Resist Awareness Magic Having this skill helps you resist spells from the school of awareness.


Lore Group
History Magic This skill describes your proficiency with spells from the school of history.
Resist History Magic Having this skill helps you resist spells from the school of history.
Enchant Item Your proficiency with this skill determines how well you create enchanted items.
Identify Item This skill measures your ability to identify new items.
Identify Creature This skill measures your ability to identify new creatures.


Stealth Group
Open Lock A character with this skill can open locked doors better.
Find Trap This skill helps you avoid falling into traps.
Find Secret Door This skill lets you find secret doors.
Move Undetected With the aid of this skill you can move without your enemies detecting you.
Stealing The higher you progress in this still the better you're able to lift items from merchants.
